Swim Groups
The Fieldstone Fins Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ability from ages 5 to 18. It is the goal of the Fieldstone Swim Team to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. Your age group is determined by your age on May 31, 2026.

6 and Under Girls and Boys This is our entry level group. A swimmer does not need to know strokes but must be able to swim the length of the pool without assistance. If your child is not able to swim the full length of the pool, please consider enrolling in Mini Fins. 7 and 8 year old Girls and Boys Swimmers must be 7 or 8 by May 31, 2026. In addition to learning freestyle and backstroke, the butterfly and breaststroke are introduced. 9 and 10 year old Girls and Boys Must be 9 or 10 by May 31, 2026. Concentration on all 4 strokes at this level as well as starts and turns. 11 and 12 year old Girls and Boys Minimum age for entry into this group is 11 or 12 by May 31, 2026. At this level the events are now 50 yards (2 lengths of the pool) each in addition to the 100 freestyle event. Swimmers should be familiar with all 4 swimming stroke. 13 and 14 year old Girls and Boys and 15+ Girls and Boys Minimum age for entry into this group is 13, 14, or 15 by May 31, 2026. Practice focuses on conditioning and stroke work. One hour in the pool and 30 minutes of dry land conditioning (3 times a week). Email [email protected] to request more information. Fieldstone Mini Fins Mini Fins must be able to swim on their own as we do not have 1:1 coverage. The program is designed for 4-7 year olds who aren't quite ready for the swim team but are comfortable in the water. All Mini Fins are encouraged to participate in the mini races before each meet. Mini Fins: Please plan to attend the evaluation on Saturday, March 21 from 2-4pm at Swim Atlanta to make sure your swimmer is placed in the correct group. |
