Aberdeen Meet Info-6/5
Hey Fins Families,
Despite the rain on Thursday, we had a great first meet! Thank you to everyone for your patience & flexibility! We not only won the meet, but we also set one new Fieldstone record during the meet so Congrats to our 13-14 Girls Medley Relay: Carrigan Burks, Adella Ripley, Addie Speigner & Franchesca Fedke!
RIBBONS: Ribbons will be available to pick up during practice on Monday. Please double check to make sure you have the correct ribbons. They should be in the pocket in front of your name. If you find a ribbon that doesn't belong to you, please place it in the file in the back for "misplaced ribbons". Parents-please assist younger swimmers in getting their ribbons!
MEET INFO: JUNE 5
We will host a home meet this week vs Aberdeen on Thursday, June 5. Please see below for all of the information! Please make sure to log in and click on Fieldstone v. Aberdeen meet & let us know if your swimmer will be attending the meet by Sunday at midnight.
THEME: Our theme for the week is Hawaiian!
FOOD ORDERS: Please note that pre-orders for food close Wednesday at noon! We strongly encourage you to pre-order to ensure we have enough food for everyone. Allene sent an email yesterday with more details. Please use the link below to order: https://fieldstonefins.myshopify.com/
Our silver sponsor DONUT NV will be at the meet serving donuts, lemonade & coffee so please support them!
PRE-MEET: Please plan to arrive by 3:30 with your swimmer unless you are in one of the following categories. Parking team should arrive by 3:00. Set-up team should arrive by 3:15. Bullpen volunteers should arrive by 3:20. Upon arrival, please have your swimmers check into their bullpens. Please also check in at the volunteer table if you are volunteering at any point during the meet.
We have been asked not to use any of the lounger chairs during the swim meet so all loungers must be moved to the quiet/adult pool area and returned to the pool deck at the conclusion of the meet. If you are able to help our set-up or clean-up team move chairs, it would be greatly appreciated. Many hands make light work!
***Please see the attached map for bullpen locations.***
PARKING: The meet is at home at Fieldstone Pool: 3350 Elder Field Lane, Cumming, GA. We will attach a picture of the parking map. Our pool parking is large, however, any overflow parking should be along Elder Field Lane. Please do NOT park on Pond Gap Lane as it is a cul-de-sac and cars get stuck with a lot of traffic (it is the first street past the parking lot). We do try to have a one way traffic flow through the parking lot to help keep all cars on the same path. We encourage carpooling if possible. We will have volunteers on the parking team helping direct you where to go. Most importantly, please do not park to the right of the clubhouse in the tennis parking lot.
DURING THE MEET: Swimmers are to stay in their assigned bullpens throughout the meet. Swimmers and spectators are not allowed to use the quiet pool, baby pool, or zero entry pool during the meet. If the swimmer needs to leave the bullpen, they should be with a parent and the bullpen parent should be notified before leaving. This is for the safety of the swimmers and to ensure that swimmers are available for their scheduled races. Parents are not allowed behind the blocks. We will have coaches and deck managers available to make sure swimmers are lined up and ready for their races.
