Windermere Meet Info 6/20
Hey Fins Families!
Here is all the info you need for the meet on Thursday 6/20 against Windermere Waves.
THEME: USA-wear all your RED, WHITE & BLUE!
PARKING-Their pool address is 444 Front Nine Dr., Cumming, GA 30041. Their clubhouse parking is large, however, any overflow parking should be at the small strip center across from Front Nine Drive. *Their golf club is next door to the pool, however, they do not want us utilizing any of their parking.
ARRIVAL/WARM UPS- Our team will warmup from 4:45-5:15 pm. Please plan to arrive by 4:15pm to check in and be ready to warm up at 4:45. Windermere is about a 20-25 minute drive from Fieldstone.
BULLPENS-Our bullpen will be along the front of the fence of the slide pool.
MINI FINS-Mini Fins are invited to swim against the Windermere Ripples at 5:15. Please plan to arrive by 5:00 if your Mini Fin plans to swim.
VOLUNTEERS- If you are volunteering for either shift during the meet, please check in at the volunteer tent upon arrival. It is very important that Jaclyn knows you are at the meet and can give you further instructions regarding your job during the meet. They use the Dolphin timing system which is the same as Grand Cascades. We had some timing issues last week so please listen to the instructions from the official if you are a timer. Typically, you will only need to push the button to stop the timer at the completion of the race. The timing system automatically starts so you do NOT push the button at the start.
CONCESSIONS- Their concession stand is located under the pool pavilion and include Chick Fil-A (PRE-ORDER ONLY!), pizza, drinks, chips, and candy. They take cash or credit card. Kona Ice will also be available for purchase.

WEATHER - The weather looks good but HOT for Thursday. Please pack plenty of water/sports drink for your swimmers! We swim even if there's rain. We will only delay if there is thunder or lightning in the area. Should the weather get bad, we will clear the pool and if needed send families to their cars to ride out extreme weather if it looks like it will pass. Do not leave unless instructed to do so by your coach.
Timeline:
4:15pm: Arrive at meet. Report to bullpens & volunteer check in.
4:45-5:15pm: Warm Up
5:15pm: Mini Race
5:30pm: Meet Start

A couple other reminders for the rest of the season:
1. Declare for County Meet @GA Tech 6/28 and next Tuesday Meet 6/25 at Aberdeen ASAP. We have a busy week ahead so the sooner we know who is swimming, the easier it makes everything.
2. There is no TIDE team this year (County Summer Swim Team). They were unable to find someone to head up the team for this summer but are hopeful to find a President to lead the team so they can continue next year. As a result, at the county meet, each swimmer will be limited to at a maximum 2 individual events and 2 relays (no exhibition events). Monday 6/24-Normal Practice
Tuesday 6/25-Normal Practice (No Dryland) & Meet @ Aberdeen
Wednesday 6/26-Practice ONLY for swimmers attending County Meet @GA Tech
Thursday 6/27- Team Party @ Fieldstone 9-11am (more info to come on ordering food)
Friday 6/28- ASA County Meet @ GA Tech (more info to come)
