Team update 3.25.23

Hello Fin Families!!

I hope you all are enjoying this spring weather we are having. Hopefully the pool water will warm up for our May practices :) Please see below for some team/season updates.

Registration: Registration is going very well. We have already surpassed last year's number of swimmers! The coaches are very excited to get in the water with your kids and have a fun summer season.

Sponsorships: We have updated and expanded our sponsorship program for this season. The new form is attached to this email and is posted on our website under the Resources tab and under News. All sponsorship forms are due by April 15th so we can get items processed before the season begins.

Swimsuits: We have chosen a new suit design for this season. We have partnered with Reddiset to provide our suits. Team suits are not required, but we do ask that a one piece athletic style suit is worn by girls and a jammer type suit is worn by boys if the team suit is not purchased. If you are interested in purchasing a team suit, please use the following link https://reddiset.com/collections/fieldstone-fins OR you can join us for a swimsuit fitting at the Fieldstone Clubhouse (multi purpose room) on April 11th from 5-7pm. A Reddiset representative will be there with suits to help with sizing and purchasing. This information is also available in the News feed on the website.

General Updates: We have purchased a timing and starting system for this season! What does this mean? We will have an easier and more efficient way to get times for the swimmers. And help run the computer side of the meet faster.

The official schedule should be out early April so we will know what meets will be home and away. This information will be posted on our website as soon as we have it and we will send out in an email as well.

Volunteering: Did you know the Fieldstone Fins are run 100% by volunteers?
We have a four person Board that works year round to make the summer swim team happens. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes. It takes over 100 people to run a meet!! Volunteering allows our kids to enjoy summer swim team which is an amazing experience. You don’t need any specialized skills to volunteer. Being a caring
parent is all that is required! Volunteer position descriptions can be found on our website, www. fieldstonefins.swimtopia.com. Each family is required to complete 6 hours of volunteering to help the swim season be a success! Volunteer signs ups will be posted early May. We will send out emails and post on the website and social media when we have a specific date that they will open.

Save the Date: Please see below for some important dates coming up -

April 11th 5-7pm - swimsuit fitting (multi purpose room Fieldstone clubhouse)

May 7th 3-5pm - Meet the Coaches and tshirt and swag distribution (multi purpose room and grassy area outside of pool)

May 15th - First afternoon practices. See website for specific age group practice times

May 30th - First morning practices. See website for specific age group practice times

As always, please reach out if you have any questions. We are very excited for a fun summer swim season!
